Northern Computer's PR-ASR Proximity Series offers basic proximity features using the most popular card reader technologies available on the market.

These readers are made of UV resistant plastic material, designed to meet the needs of any access point, whether it be read distance or appearance.

Each reader is a low-profile, single-stage unit designed for mounting inside or outside of any building. All Proximity Series readers contain red/green/amber LED indicators, as well as an independently controlled audio tone.

These proximity readers utilize simple wiring (from reader to panel) making upgrades easy. Proximity readers can be concealed behind most building materials reducing exposure to vandalism and weather problems.

Mechanical action is not required to read proximity cards. This allows increased accuracy, while decreasing wear on both cards and readers.
